- Great time
to take care of your soil and turf
- Recommend fertilizing,
lime, seeding and aeration of all turf beds
- Bring
in houseplants from outside
- Get ready for Fall
color
October:
- If you have not already done so, aerate
and dethatch your lawn and fertilize and lime
soil
- Plant spring blooming bulbs now.
- Do not prune azaleas,
Rhododendrons or other flowering shrubs or trees
because the
buds are already set.
November:
- Final broadleaf weed application
and fertilization of lawn
- Cut
back roses for winter
- Plant iris, tulips, daffodils
and all spring flowering
bulbs
- Remove leaves from turf
and bed areas
December:
- Final leaf cleanup and
mowing
