February:
- If ground
is not frozen, trees and shrubs can be planted.
- Prune shade trees, fruit trees, birches and
maples if needed. Cut back ornamental grasses
and liriope
- Clean and mulch beds
- Apply dormant oil to fruit
trees or any trees with scales, adelgids
or mites.
- Lawn
fertilizer and grass seed can be applied.
Seed will germinate when temperature warms
