Seasonal Hints

  • If ground is not frozen, trees and shrubs can be planted.
  • Prune shade trees, fruit trees, birches and maples if needed. Cut back ornamental grasses and liriope
  • Clean and mulch beds
  • Apply dormant oil to fruit trees or any trees with scales, adelgids or mites.
  • Lawn fertilizer and grass seed can be applied. Seed will germinate when temperature warms

Blooming: Winter Jasmine, heather and withhazel

“This winter’s snow proved to be a great burden not only on homeowners but on the contractors servicing those homeowners. Blade Runners did an outstanding job of providing snow removal and sanding to the communities they served. They were responsive to some unrealistic homeowner requests and performed better than most other contractors I work with.”
